Unhook the chain from the flapper before mounting the tank
Just measure the old flush valve and cut the new one to that length
This isn’t hard, if you’ve done one you’re pretty much an expert.

It looks extremely easy, but it’s difficult to turn the water valve off and to remove the plastic nut below the toilet. Im going to end up calling a plumber.
